Steve Earle is not mincing words when it comes to his view of the country right now, and an arguably more famous Steve is helping the 71-year-old American songwriting icon make noise.
Last month Earle—who is on the road celebrating his 51 years of songwriter—and longtime New Yorker Steve Buscemi released a music video for “City of Immigrants.” Directed by the Emmy-winning actor, the clip features Brazilian ensemble Forró in the Dark helping update a song first released on 2007’s Washington Square Serenade.
Expect Earle, who just won “Best Regional Roots Music Album” at the Grammy awards for A Tribute to the Kin of Zydeco, to play that tune and so many more at this one…
