A 30-year-old Tampa man is facing a long list of charges after what deputies describe as a violent wreck on Turner Road that sent two drivers to the hospital and shoved a vehicle through a nearby fence, according to WFLA. Investigators say the driver initially took off, but deputies later tracked him to an apartment about a mile from the crash scene.
Arrest, charges and breath-test results
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as Kelly Castleman, 30, of Tampa. He was booked on multiple counts, including two counts of DUI with serious bodily injury, two counts of leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury (vulnerable road user), three counts of DUI with property damage over .15, and one count of leaving the scene of unattended property, according to WFLA.
Deputies said Castleman provided two breath samples that measured 0.287 and 0.283, which is far above Florida’s 0.08 legal limit. He was arrested after deputies say units located him at an apartment roughly a mile away from where the collision happened.
