DUNEDIN, Fla. — Downtown Dunedin businesses are asking the City Commission to consider creating an open-container entertainment district and bringing back large-scale “Second Friday” events.
Jason Seibert, owner of Flanagan’s Irish Pub and Rosie’s Tavern, said he and about 30 other restaurants, bars and breweries have asked the city to look at the idea.
Under the concept, the city would sell branded cups to merchants. Businesses would sell beverages in those cups, and customers could carry their drinks along specified corridors during city-approved hours…
