GULFPORT, Fla. (WFLA) — A man rescued a dog swimming for its life in Gulfport waters on Wednesday after he was sleeping in his boat and his dog alerted him to the waterborne pup.
George Cavanaugh told 8 On Your Side he was working on his boat in Boca Ciega Bay when he fell asleep and awoke to his miniature beagle, named Stormieee, barking.
After going to check, Cavanaugh said he saw a dog in the water swimming for its life…
