A Robotaxi took a group of college students on a wild ride in Florida last week.
“Waymo went rogue in Tampa, FL,” TikTok user Matt Reardon wrote over a video he posted of the incident from inside the car, which he captioned, “thought we were done for a second there.”
In the video, the young men giggled and yelled “oh my god” and “what the [expletive]” as the car steered into oncoming traffic on the right side of the road, which had been redirected at the time following the October 4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers game nearby, per WFLA. The Waymo seemingly didn’t realize that the other cars were following a detour.
“Must be a European model,” quipped one commenter, while another added, “The Waymo is like, I ain’t doing nothing wrong they are.”…
