Jon Taffer’s list of Tampa Bay Area makeovers has grown again. After working with Taffer’s Bar Rescue TV show, Dunedin’s The Patio Lounge has closed and reopened as The Ocean Club, complete with its own speakeasy.
Located at 949 Huntley Avenue, just off the Pinellas Trail, The Ocean Club has dubbed itself a “tropic patio bar” featuring cocktails, live music, and a food menu heavy on hot dogs, including the option for a Hot Dog Tower, which sounds equal parts fantastic and heartburn-inducing. The majority of the seating, as before, is outside on the spacious patio.
In addition to the outdoor-focused Ocean Club, part of the Bar Rescue makeover also includes the debut of The Red Room, an indoor and more elevated cocktail bar. “The Red Room is our intimate, speakeasy-inspired experience — a completely different vibe, but part of the Ocean Club family,” Ocean Club says…
