TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. – A pedestrian died after an SUV crashed into him on U.S. Highway 19 earlier Tuesday morning, according to the Tarpon Springs Police Department. The crash happened in the southbound lanes of U.S. 19 south of Beckett Way. As of this writing, the highway has reopened to traffic following an hours-long closure.
