‘It’s Really Cool!’: Commanders’ Dan Quinn’s Return

Dan Quinn is set to make his return to head coaching with the Washington Commanders this Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, marking his return to the top coaching role after three seasons as the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys. Quinn, who previously led the Atlanta Falcons for six seasons, is eager to bring the lessons learned from both his head coaching and coordinator roles to his new team.

Quinn, who led the Falcons to a Super Bowl appearance in 2016, emphasized his appreciation for being back in charge.

“There’s only 32 head coaches, man, and it’s really cool,” Quinn remarked , reflecting on his journey and the experiences that shaped him during his time in Dallas. “The time in Dallas was really good for me, you just keep things in your pocket for when that moment happens.”

As he prepares for his first game at the helm in Washington, Quinn is focused on refining his approach. He has spent the week fine-tuning game plans and ensuring his team is ready for the diverse challenges posed by the Buccaneers.
