TAMPA, Florida — Tampa Police are investigating after the body of an adult male was discovered in the water near the 2400 block of Chapin Street. The incident was reported just before 3:15 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
Members of the Tampa Police Dive Team recovered the body, and detectives are working to identify the deceased and notify his next of kin, according to the Tampa Police Department. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided as they become available.
