Daniel Murillo, 44, allegedly attacked a 24-year-old woman, repeatedly punching her in the head while they sat inside a BMW parked outside an Econo Lodge in Kissimmee. The pair had originally traveled from Tampa but became stranded when their vehicle broke down. After running out of money for their hotel stay, they resorted to sleeping in the car while trying to fix it and secure a tow, authorities said.
Dispute Escalates to Assault
Murillo claimed he had been in a romantic relationship with the woman for several months, but she denied this to police. Tensions flared when their efforts to arrange for a AAA tow were unsuccessful. The frustration led to an argument that quickly turned physical.
The victim told officers that Murillo, already upset over their situation, lashed out in anger. When police arrived, they noted she had visible swelling and bumps on her head, which appeared to be fresh injuries.

Murillo told officers he hit the woman only in response to her striking him first. He also alleged she threw urine at him from a cup they had inside the vehicle, which led to him breaking the car’s windows in retaliation…
