Friendliest hometown? Active retirement? Our Twirlers and other Village performers are the epitome of The Villages lifestyle. They add the “friendly” and “active” to The Villages hometown approach.
Their and other similar groups are doing exactly what drew many of us to The Villages. They are forming strong bonds with each other, their activities keep them active and healthy, they have goals and push themselves to be the best they can be. They pay for costumes to look their best, and many groups raise funds for the disadvantaged in the local area.
We are overjoyed to live in a community that promotes the qualities of friendly and active. Whoever made the decision to drop the “hometown” out of The Villages square activities needs to re-think their position…
