Woman uses child as ‘middleman’ to carry out drug deals from jail: Clearwater police

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — A woman was accused of orchestrating drug deals while locked up in the Pinellas County Jail and involving a child in the operation.

Clearwater police said Katelyn McCabe, 36, used a 15-year-old to facilitate the sale of cocaine in April.

“(McCabe) was using (the child) to act as a form of middleman communication with a convicted felon to negotiate a narcotics transaction,” an arrest report said.

She was also accused of having the child pretend to be her while attempting to send drugs through the mail…
