Suncoast readers are invited to honor Memorial Day weekend with a stirring tribute to America’s heroes at the Venice Symphony’s annual Patriotic Pops: Salute to the Greatest Generation. Taking place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at CoolToday Park in Wellen Park, this special concert commemorates the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II with a powerful program of WWII-era favorites and patriotic classics. Led by Music Director Troy Quinn, the symphony will be joined by guest vocalists, including Sergeant First Class Randall Wight of the U.S. Army Field Band, to deliver a heartfelt salute to veterans of all service branches. The evening culminates in a dazzling fireworks display, making it a perfect family-friendly celebration of remembrance and community spirit.
