Investigators obtain search warrant for boat involved in deadly Clearwater Ferry crash

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — Newly obtained documents show investigators obtained a search warrant for a boat that was involved in a collision with the Clearwater Ferry in April. The crash left one person dead and several more injured.

Among the items seized late last month were Jeff Knight’s boat, three engines, and two GPS systems — all of which were expected to provide more information on the boat’s speed, seaworthiness, and more, according to court documents.
