SEMINOLE — Pinellas County is moving ahead with a $15.7 million makeover of a problem-plagued stretch of 102nd Avenue North in unincorporated Seminole, transforming the two-lane road into a three-lane corridor with a roundabout designed to reduce crashes.
“This project has been a long time in the making,” said Kelli Hammer Levy, Pinellas County public works director, at a May 21 community meeting. “We’re very confident that the ideas we’re here to share with you will help make the corridor safer, improve traffic flow, address a longstanding intersection issue and enhance the existing drainage system.”
