Allegiant Air flight forced to make emergency landing at Florida airport after ‘bomb threat’

An Allegiant flight was forced to make an emergency landing after an alleged bomb threat.

The other passengers at St. Pete-Clearwater International airport are currently disembarking and passenger has been taken into custody. Police and fire officials are on the scene. Operations at the airport have been temporarily halted while a comprehensive investigation is carried out.

A verbal dispute broke out between two passengers shortly after departure, and one of them threatened that there was a bomb on board, according to PIE’s on-call public information officer.

The plane circled back to St. Pete, where the suspect was taken into custody by the authorities…
