HCSO Team Submerges Fugitive’s Escape Plan, Hooks Suspect from Reedy Hideout

TAMPA, Fla. – A suspect facing felony charges was taken into custody on Saturday, August 2, 2025, after attempting to evade law enforcement by hiding in a local body of water.

The incident began when Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies responded to a report on Key Biscayne Drive. Authorities were pursuing a suspect who had fled and entered a nearby body of water in an attempt to escape.
