Principal of Tampa’s Leto High School arrested on cocaine, DUI charges

The newly promoted principal of Tampa’s Leto High School was arrested Aug. 2 on charges of cocaine and drug paraphernalia possession and driving under the influence.

Scott Michael Hazlett, 40, was pulled over for speeding at East Fowler Avenue and North 60th Street by Temple Terrace police just after 1 a.m., according to a news release from the agency.

Hazlett “exhibited multiple signs of impairment” during a field sobriety test and was arrested, the release states. He later told police he drank an unspecified amount of vodka, according to an affidavit…
