Academy Award-winning actress Brie Larson just gave a shoutout to Gigglewaters Social Club & Screening Room in downtown Safety Harbor, and locals are buzzing about it. The actress and author recently took to Instagram to share her love for the venue, putting an even bigger spotlight on this Pinellas County gem.
If you haven’t visited Gigglewaters yet, consider this your sign to go. The popular spot combines a cozy 32-seat screening room with a lively cocktail bar and restaurant, offering a one-of-a-kind experience that blends entertainment, great food, and craft drinks under one roof.
Gigglewaters is a Pinellas County treasure
Guests can indulge in elevated takes on American comfort food, including pure Wagyu beef burgers, bacon-wrapped deep-fried hot dogs, and housemade Butcher Block Bacon soaked in bourbon and brown sugar. The menu also features Frito pie, ricotta cheesecake, and a variety of decadent mac and cheeses. It’s no surprise the restaurant has earned national attention, even being featured on Travel Channel’s Man v. Food.
Owners Richie Wilson and Rachel Fine opened Gigglewaters in 2018 after moving from Brooklyn to Florida in 2015. Inspired by their favorite New York City haunts, they set out to create a speakeasy-style venue with a 1920s flair. The space features tin ceilings, Edison lighting, and a custom bar built from reclaimed wood salvaged from the historic Belleview Biltmore, adding to its old-school charm.
Sip on award-winning cocktails
Gigglewaters isn’t just about the food, it’s an experience. With its retro vibe, award-winning cocktails, and curated movie screenings, the venue has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Now, with Brie Larson’s stamp of approval, it’s safe to say this Safety Harbor hotspot just became an even bigger must-visit…
