New disaster grant program aims to help independent restaurant owners recover

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — The Independent Restaurant Coalition, or IRC, and Chase Disaster Relief Fund applies to independently owned restaurants, bars, cafes, and food trucks affected by a natural disaster within the last 12 months.

The application period for the $3 million dollar grant program goes into effect today. With many local businesses still feeling the effects from hurricanes Helene and Milton, several may meet the criteria to apply for the grant.
