PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Seventy-five veterans were greeted with a massive celebration Tuesday night at the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport after returning home from their Honor Flight.
Hundreds gathered with signs, music, and messages of appreciation for those who took the day-long journey to Washington, D.C. to visit the war memorials.
“It was wonderful. It was an experience that, as a Vietnam vet … coming back when I did the initial time, I didn’t receive a welcome. No welcome at all. This gives you goosebumps.
