Clearwater Beach will transform into the ultimate racing destination when the 2025 XINSURANCE Clearwater Offshore Nationals take over the Gulf this weekend (September 26–28). Nearly 90 high-powered race boats, some stretching up to 50 feet long, will battle head-to-head at speeds reaching 150 mph in pursuit of national championship titles. The acition will be viewable around 1060 Gulf Blvd at Sand Key Park.
The action-packed weekend also serves as a qualifier for the prestigious World Championships in Key West this November. It could be the excuse you need to visit neighboring Clearwater.
2.5-mile offshore race course in Clearwater
Spectators will have no trouble catching the excitement of the offshore action. The 2.5-mile course runs just a few hundred yards offshore and parallel to the beach, with Turn One set only 100 yards from Clearwater Beach’s iconic Pier 60. Visitors can watch from the sand, the pier, or join the spectator fleet of private boats anchored just off the course. Starlite Cruises is also offering race-day cruises, while beachfront hotels plan special watch parties. After sunset, Shephard’s Beach Resort will keep the energy going with DJs and dancing all weekend long.

To avoid beach traffic, spectators can take advantage of public transit options. The Jolley Trolley runs from Pier 60 to Sand Key Park, where the race boats are based. Riders can pay using tap-to-pay, the Flamingo Fares app, or exact change in cash.
