A woman allegedly tried to bite a law enforcement officer following her arrest in a laundromat brawl.
Jennifer Denise Phillips, 54, of Tampa, was in the laundry room late Thursday night at the Love’s Truck Stop in Bushnell when she approached another woman and pushed her shoulder, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Phillips used profane language and told the woman she belonged “in the circus.” Phillips invited the other woman outside “to fight.” Phillips also threatened to run over the other woman with a Dodge Caravan. There were witnesses to the altercation.
A deputy arrived on the scene and took Phillips into custody. She was belligerent and demanded an attorney. She had to be placed in a spit mask after she began spitting on the partition between the front seat and back seat of the deputy’s patrol car.
