TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – John Swartz and his girlfriend have been looking for an affordable rental home and thought they found the perfect one in Clearwater. They ended up tricked out of $2,500.
Swartz says the home was listed on Facebook Marketplace for $1,600 a month.
“It’s just the two of us,” he said. We each have a dog. It’s not too much house to keep up with. We [were] just looking for anything available in our price range and this seemed like a really nice neighborhood. All the pictures of the inside looked promising.”…
