TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A judge has denied bond for the man who police said shot at a car after a crash in downtown Tampa.

According to the Tampa Police Department, Kevin Arriola, 29, was arrested after he crashed into multiple cars on the Selmon Expressway exit ramp onto East Kennedy Boulevard.

Officers said Arriola was “driving erratically” before crashing into the other vehicles, and after the collisions, he left his Mazda 3 and began firing a gun at a red Chrysler 300. No serious injuries were reported in the ensuing chaos, according to police.

“This was an extremely dangerous and senseless situation that could have easily resulted in tragedy,” Tampa police Chief Lee Bercaw said.

A criminal report affidavit said when Hillsborough County deputies arrived, Arriola was flailing his arms around and yelling, at some point saying, “I killed her” and “I’m god.” He was transferred to Tampa police officers at the scene.
