A Villager who had a real estate sign on the door of her vehicle has been tracked down in connection with a pair of thefts at a local Walmart.
MaryKay Childress, 62, was arrested Friday at her home in the Village of Largo on two counts of theft.
The Wisconsin native works as a realtor and is owner of At Ease Properties, which offers home watch services, home cleaning and notary services.
Childress was caught on surveillance on Aug. 2 at the Walmart at Sarasota Plaza using the self-checkout aisle where she skip scanned $57.57 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying for the items, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
