Holiday Decorating Leads To Clearwater Kitchen Fire, Firefighters Rescue Family Dog

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Unattended cooking led to a house fire this afternoon on Byram Drive while the home’s residents were outside putting up Christmas decorations. Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to the blaze at 1915 Byram Drive at 2:13 p.m.

The fire, which reportedly started in the kitchen, filled the home with smoke, but no injuries were reported.

During their operations, firefighters successfully rescued one dog from the smoke-filled residence. The dog, identified as Peso, was immediately treated on the scene with oxygen by fire personnel…
