The names of the four people killed Saturday, Nov. 8, when a fleeing driver drove onto a sidewalk in Ybor City and crashed into a nightclub’s outdoor seating area have been released in a court document.
The arrest affidavit for the driver, made public Monday, identifies the victims as two men and two women: Marlon Anthony Collins, 54, of Bartow; Sherman Jones, 53, of Tampa; Lisa Sherell Johnson, 41, of Winter Haven; and Kristina Maria Richards, 25, of Ohio.
The suspect in the crash, 22-year-old Silas Kenneth Sampson of Dade City, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, told police he’d “made a mistake” and asked how many people he’d killed, according to the affidavit and a motion that prosecutors filed Sunday to keep Sampson in jail until his case is resolved…
