USF harassment suspects posted similar confrontations nationwide, social media shows

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The University of South Florida Police Department has identified all three men accused of harassing Muslim students during a prayer gathering inside a campus parking garage last week. The case has now been referred to the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office for a charging decision.

Members of the Muslim Student Association (MSA) said the identification of the men brought them a sense of relief.

“It was honestly a relief. And it felt like a win from our end, because these people have done this in so many different places and they’ve never been stopped,” said Malak Albustami, USF Muslim Student Association…
