CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — Multiple people were taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon following a crash involving a Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) bus.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 19 and Countryside Boulevard in Clearwater, according to officials.

Authorities said the bus was traveling on Countryside Boulevard, underneath U.S. 19, at the time. It’s unclear if any other vehicles were involved, and officials did not say what may have caused the crash.
The exact number of people injured also was not immediately clear. Police said “multiple patients” were being transported, with one being a trauma alert.
