Dunedin mechanic arrested on scheme to defraud

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office alleges a Dunedin mechanic filed fraudulent paperwork to illegally acquire at least four vehicles, including one that was the subject of a Better Call Behnken investigation.

Vasilios Ioannidis, who goes by the first name Bill and owns B&B Spyder Customs Inc. in Dunedin, was arrested and charged with scheme to defraud.

According to court records, deputies claim Ioannidis obtained title through a mechanic’s lien, by stating the vehicles were dropped off for service, and the bills weren’t paid…
