The man identified in an alleged incident of harassment against the University of Houston’s Muslim Students Association as members prayed is now facing criminal charges following a similar occurrence at the University of South Florida.
Videos of confrontations at both college campuses were posted for thousands of followers by Christopher Svochak, who frequents universities to preach Christianity, condemn what he says are sins and share videos of heated exchanges with students. Svochak was named in the USF Police Department’s announcements of the criminal charges late last month and listed as a Waco resident.
Svochak faces a felony charge of disturbing schools and religious and other assemblies, and misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and disrupting school or lawful assembly. The felony charge was classified as a hate crime…
