Faithful to flock to Tarpon Springs for 120th Epiphany Day Celebration

TARPON SPRINGS — Epiphany Day in Tarpon Springs is recognized as one of the largest such events of its kind in the world, with thousands of visitors and many dignitaries making the pilgrimage to Pinellas County’s northernmost city each Jan. 6 for the Greek Orthodox church’s celebration of Jesus Christ’s baptism.

The 120th edition of the event begins with the blessing of the fleet and concludes with the iconic dive for the cross in Spring Bayou.
