Pinellas County Inmate Dies After Medical Emergency; Detectives Find No Signs Of Foul Play

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the death of an inmate who passed away Tuesday morning after suffering a medical emergency in his cell.

Authorities identified the inmate as 52-year-old James Bernard Brady. He had been in custody at the Pinellas County Jail since December 11, 2025.

According to investigators, jail staff discovered Brady in distress on December 30 and immediately began life-saving measures. He was transported to a local hospital where medical personnel continued treatment, but he was pronounced dead at 11:58 a.m…
