Fare-free rides ending on HART’s busiest bus route after year-long pilot

TAMPA, Fla. — After a year of riding fare-free, passengers on HART’s busiest bus route will soon have to start paying again.

Beginning Monday, Jan. 5, riders on Route 1 — which runs from downtown Tampa to the University of South Florida — will once again be charged a fare.
