Places This Week: Historic Clearwater compound sells for $13 million

Setting the record for Tampa Bay’s largest residential sale of 2025, a Clearwater three-parcel waterfront estate known as Century Oaks closed Dec. 31 for a sales price of $13 million. It was listed in March 2025 for $22.9 million.

The centerpiece of the compound is a two-story, 16,472 square-foot main residence built in 1915. Situated on 5.62 acres of land at 802 Druid Road S., the home was built on the grounds of Fort Harrison, established in 1841 on the top of a bluff overlooking Clearwater Harbor, and where the Harbor Oaks Residential District is today.

With 10 bedrooms and 11 full bathrooms, the layout provides a combination of formal and informal spaces, including a grand entry hall, an expansive ballroom, a banquet-size dining room and a family room.
