‘Super Speeder’ arrested going over 100 mph on Gandy Bridge: FHP

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was arrested Sunday after being accused of driving over 100 mph on the Gandy Bridge.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a trooper observed a Volkswagen driven by Briam Salas Blanco, 26, going 108 mph in a posted 55 mph zone.

The trooper said he followed the Volkswagen during which he targeted the vehicle with a speed measurement device, and clocked his speed increase to 114 mph.

The arrest affidavit reported that Blanco told the trooper he did not realize he was going that fast…
