City of St. Pete overtaxed residents nearly $50 million, Ingoglia says

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia accused leaders in the City of St. Peterburg on Wednesday of wasting taxpayer money.

“The City of St. Petersburg has overtaxed, overspent, and now has a wasteful excessive spending number of $49.4 million,” Ingoglia said.

Florida approves more auto insurance rate cuts

Ingoglia said that amount is the result of an audit through the Florida Agency for Fiscal Oversight or FAFO found over six years.

“This is an exercise to make the voters aware of how much their local government is spending relative to inflation and population,” Ingoglia said…
