ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — Leaders at the Win! Derby Poker Room in St. Petersburg said they are gaining more traction from the community. But they are also getting noise complaints from the surrounding neighborhoods.
Thursday, about 50 residents met with Win! Derby to find some middle ground.
Fire at Hyde Park Village restaurant sends plume of smoke into air
The parking lot didn’t look as full Thursday night. But drive past Win! Derby on the weekends, and you can see a farmers’ market, and other events drawing crowds to the once dormant property. Neighbors quickly noticed their increase in popularity.
“The music continues until 10 p.m. and I’ve actually gotten up and out of bed and walked out of my driveway going, ‘What is that pulsing? What’s that pounding?’” said Lisa Reinbolt, who lives nearby…
