A Villager allegedly attacked a woman after discovering she was drinking alcohol.
William Henry Lewis, 56, who lives in the Perdido Villas in the Village of Pinellas, was arrested on a felony charge of battery on Saturday by Sumter County sheriff’s deputies. Lewis had been invited into a home and the Pennsylvania native apparently suspected the woman had been drinking, according to an arrest report. He took a sip of her beverage and then, apparently enraged, he used both hands to throw her against a wall. He choked her and used his fist to punch her in the lip.
Lewis had been convicted in 2024 of felony battery on a person over the age of 65. In that incident he grabbed a woman by her wrists. Lewis had been having a romantic relationship with the woman’s daughter…
