Pinellas County Urban Forestry is giving away free trees to residents on Saturday, April 18, from 9–11 a.m. at 4550 126th Ave N, Clearwater. This is a drive-thru event, and each household can receive up to two trees while supplies last. Trees come in three-gallon containers and are about five feet tall. Available species include Bald Cypress, Dahoon Holly, Live Oak, Longleaf Pine, South Florida Slash Pine, and Sweetbay Magnolia. Trees are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to help grow the county’s urban tree canopy.
