Sugar Sand Festival
10 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, March 27-April 12. Pier 60, 1 Causeway Blvd., Clearwater Beach. This year’s theme, “United in Sand: Celebrating Sports and Spirit!”, brings larger-than-life creations to life that includes more than 100 sculptures. A tribute to the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence features projection mapping that brings select sand sculptures to life. Fireworks will light the sky at 9:30 p.m. each Saturday, plus a finale show Sunday, April 12 at 9 p.m. Don’t miss the Classic Volkswagen Car Show from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 10. Rotary Rocks the Beach
All day. March 28. Archibald Memorial Beach Park, Madeira Beach. This free, family-friendly concert offers a full day of entertainment, local food and vendors, and a welcoming atmosphere for all ages. Seminole Historical Museum
10 a.m.-1 p.m. March 26. Seminole City Park, 7464 Ridge Road. Step back in Seminole’s pioneer history and listen for the train whistle as you view the new laser replica of locomotives on Pinellas train tracks in the 1920s. Catch up on this industry’s presence in Pinellas that gave Floridians the development of a thriving citrus business and tourist opportunities. The train and citrus industry displays are in the Pioneer Room adjacent to the exceptional fossil exhibit from Boca Ciega Millennium Park. Museum is open all Thursdays and Saturdays.
