TAMPA, FLa- A New Port Richey man has been sentenced to federal prison after making online threats against multiple federal officials, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Benjamin Rubin, 79, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Charlene Honeywell to one year in federal prison after pleading guilty to interstate transmission of threats. Rubin entered his guilty plea on December 22, 2025.
According to court documents, the case stems from a series of social media posts made in February 2025.
