Stetson alumni call on college to ‘distance’ itself from Bondi after her ouster as AG

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A coalition of Stetson University College of Law alumni is calling on the college to distance itself from Pam Bondi after she was ousted as U.S. Attorney General. Bondi is a Temple Terrace native and a Stetson Law School alum, who was appointed by President Donald Trump last year.

Like any attorney, Rachael Reese has her Stetson Law degree on the wall in her office. She’s also got a photo of her fellow Stetson alum, Pam Bondi.

“I just wanted this picture in my office as kind of a constant reminder of what I don’t want to be like. The actual, the morals, the ethics, the things that I was taught. I want to make sure that I’m always upholding those and I’m always kind of reaching towards those,” Reese said.

Reese said it was during the Jeffrey Epstein hearings that her opinion of Bondi changed. As a criminal defense attorney, Reese said she did appeals under Bondi when she was Florida’s attorney general…
