PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A 76-year-old Pinellas Park man lost his life Sunday afternoon in a fatal wreck on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. The crash, involving a Spyder three-wheeled motorcycle, resulted in a total shutdown of the bridge’s northbound lanes for several hours.
Florida Highway Patrol reported that the incident took place around 12:45 PM near Milepost 12. The man was traveling northbound when he attempted “evasive action to avoid a collision with an unknown vehicle,” causing him to lose control of the motorcycle.
The Spyder headed toward the shoulder and collided with the outside guardrail before being redirected back into the northbound travel lanes…
