Liberty Tree dedication marks Declaration anniversary
CLEARWATER — The Clearwater Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution recently dedicated a Liberty Tree and plaque at the Veterans Plaza in Crest Lake Park in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of America.
Clearwater City Manager Jennifer Poirrier was the guest speaker at the dedication. City Council member Mike Mannino was in attendance, as well as Matthew Anderson, assistant Parks and Recreation director, who was involved in the project.
SAR National Trustee, Col. Rob Moore, a retired Air Force veteran, read the Liberty Tree plaque after it was unveiled. Members of the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution were present, as well as their families and friends…
