Cate will sign off from the anchor desk for the final time on May 20, 2026, concluding a legacydefined by integrity, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to truth.
For more than a quarter century at WFLA-TV, and decades before that across the country, Cate has been a trusted voice, a steady presence, and a journalist of rare distinction.
