Man drove at about 100 mph in Clearwater crash, injuring 4 people: police

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was arrested in connection with a Thursday night crash in Clearwater that injured four people, two of them children.

The crash occurred just before 3 a.m. in the north lanes of U.S. Highway 19 near Harn Boulevard.

According to a release from the city of Clearwater, 27-year-old Mario Mounes Rizk was driving his vehicle when he struck the rear of another vehicle, then crashed into the rear of a third disabled vehicle parked on the side of the road.

Authorities estimate that Rizk was traveling at about 100 miles per hour when the crash occurred…
