Tampa Bay BBQ Fest Returns With Top Pitmasters, Live Music, and VIP Perks

The Tampa Bay Barbecue Festival & Competition will take over Vinoy Park in downtown St. Petersburg this Saturday and Sunday, May 23-24. This marks the 9th year for the gathering. Expect more than 100 barbecue dishes from pitmasters who’ve won awards, plus live music and cold beer from local breweries.

General admission tickets cost $15 if you buy them in advance. That gets you into the main festival grounds and all musical performances. Kids 10 and under get in free. Dogs can come too, but they need to stay on a leash.

Saturday’s headliners are Rodney Atkins and Austin Snell. Sunday brings Blackberry Smoke and Graham Barham to the stage. Gates open at 1 p.m. and close at 10 p.m. each day, according to I Love the Burg…
