CLEVELAND —The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Wednesday it has begun cleanup of the former Woodhill Plating Works facility in Cleveland.
The EPA is working to remove hazardous waste, and it said it expects cleanup to take two to three months to complete.
The nearly one-acre site at 9113 Prince Ave. is estimated to have 20,000 gallons of hazardous waste in various containers, including chromium, lead, arsenic, various acids and cyanide salts, according to the EPA. Additionally, not all containers are labeled, and may be missing lids…
